About the Role
We are seeking an SAP Ariba Upstream Consultant to drive supplier lifecycle, sourcing, and contract processes across a global procurement landscape. Our Ariba solution for non-production materials is live across EMEA, Americas, and APAC, integrated with SAP ERP and MDG. This role combines operational excellence with continuous improvement, integration troubleshooting, and quarterly release readiness. You will collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and technology partners to ensure seamless procurement flows and compliance.
What You Will Do
- Own and optimize daily operations for Ariba Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP), and Ariba Contracts.
- Guide suppliers through onboarding and qualification on the Ariba Business Network, including registration and data updates.
- Support sourcing events, qualification steps, contract lifecycle activities, and digital signature processes.
- Configure and maintain SLP field mappings, validations, and integration settings.
- Coordinate with SAP MDG and integration partners for API behavior, mapping updates, and supplier data alignment.
- Support integration across Ariba, SAP ERP, SAP MDG, SAP BW, CIG, and middleware platforms.
- Perform quarterly SAP Ariba release testing, review release notes, and implement new features.
- Prepare and review BRD, FSD, and test scripts; participate in SIT and UAT cycles.
- Manage AMS tasks including incidents, service requests, and small enhancements.
- Provide user support and training for Upstream modules.
- Drive continuous improvements and support procurement process governance.
- Collaborate closely with the Ariba Downstream Consultant to ensure end-to-end procurement flow alignment.
- Work effectively in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
What You Bring
- 5–8 years of experience with SAP Ariba, focusing on Sourcing, SLP, and Contracts.
- Strong understanding of supplier lifecycle, qualification processes, and contract flows.
- Experience with Ariba Business Network supplier connectivity.
- Knowledge of API or service-based integration for supplier data exchange with SAP MDG and ERP.
- Experience with SIT/UAT cycles and creation/review of BRD, FSD, and test scripts.
- Good understanding of procurement processes and compliance expectations.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with global teams and suppliers.
- Eagerness to expand expertise across the full Ariba suite.
- SAP Ariba certification is a plus.
Cross-Area Knowledge
Your focus will be Upstream, but you should have a basic understanding of Downstream processes such as catalog management, requisitioning, purchase orders, and goods receipt. This will develop naturally through collaboration with the Downstream Consultant.
