Legal and Compliance Counsel

Your Task:

• Provide legal advice on a broad range of general corporate matters;
• Advise and support business clients on legal and compliance matters to ensure that the regional legal and compliance team is a strategic partner in regional business that identifies and effectively communicates risks and provides excellent solutions-oriented advice;
• Contract drafting, negotiation and advisory responsibilities ranging from standard contracts to one-off transactions;
• Support litigation activities, quality issues and related claims for the region;
• Support mergers and acquisitions activities and corporate governance matters;
• Assist in rolling out and managing compliance programs, give related compliance training and support compliance investigations.
• Support global compliance team in updating various compliance policies and or training materials.

Your Profile:

• Proven experience of min. 5 years as a Legal Counsel or compliance expert in business/ automotive environment;
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of commercial law and procedures;
• Good knowledge in ethical business conduct, data compliance and/or export control legal framework;
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity;
• Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information;
• Business and solution-oriented mindset; strong communication skills;
• Law degree from reputable domestic or overseas universities;
• Chinese and English Fluency Required, German, Spanish, Mandarin or another key European language preferable;
• PRC Bar required. Bar qualification of other jurisdiction is a plus.
