BU Procurement Buyer

Your Tasks

New Programs

• On Time sourcing withing ZF LIFETEC GDPEP Process
• Coordinate sourcing activities with cross-functionald with SET team members for new components
• Lead sourcing cases for both new and c/o components for new programs
• Take responsibility for Direct Buy suppliers for spot buy and production PO. (ex: BPO creation, PPAP request, etc)
• Send BPO requests, PPAP requests to SDE, and ensure supplier PPAP timing along with SDE
• Coordinate successful launch activities (e.g. TKO, design changes, etc.) with suppliers and manufacturing facilities
• Ensure program profitability through BOM Cost Tracker maintenance
• Perform capacity checks on carryover components Analysis of existing capacities vs. upcoming demands
• Support Lead Program Buyer and/or Sr. Purchasing Manager with special projects/assignments

Change Management

• Responsible for engineering changes Request for quotes (RFQ). Analyze Eng. Changes technical and commercial requirements, Review quotes and determine cost and manufacturing feasibility impact.
• Present information to CCB1 and CCB2.
• Support engineering change affect multiple programs, VAVE, and Supplier Process Changes

Crisis Management

• Support Materials and SCM teams with component shortages, supplier disruptions, etc.
• Support Plant and/or AP team on payment Issues (Price Discrepancies, Check Requests, Lack of Receipts, Credit Holds, etc.)
• Support Finance with scrapping injection molding tools
• Support for disruption due to worn tool conditions
• Provide carryover component volume forecasts for Logistics, SDE, etc. upon request
• Negotiate and manage PO updates for Directed Buy / Non-Controllable Spend components

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration, Economics or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e. technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.). 
• Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation (i.e. total cost analysis,  quality, capacity, etc.)
• Experience with supplier bidding process and negotiations
• Proficient with SAP, PIVOT Tables Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.)
• Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management and proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
• 80% English language/ good communication skills
