Account Manager

Position Summary

Support and develop customer accounts for Japan-based OEM customers for ZF LIFETEC’s Passive Safety product portfolio including Airbags, Seat Belts, and Steering Wheels.
The role is responsible for driving day-to-day customer activities, RFQ coordination, quotation preparation, and commercial execution in alignment with account strategies.

Your Tasks

• Manage customer-related commercial activities throughout all sales development phases from RFQ to serial production
• Support business acquisition activities and account development for assigned customers
• Coordinate customer quotations with internal departments including engineering, finance, operations, and product lines
• Support customer negotiations for pricing, delivery, commercial conditions, and program changes
• Drive execution of customer action items and internal follow-up activities
• Support development of sales presentations and customer proposals
• Maintain customer relationship and ensure timely communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Support account profitability and sales performance activities
• Coordinate prototype activities including quotation, delivery tracking, and customer communication when required

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of sales or account management experience within the automotive industry (T1 suppiler)
• Experience working with Japanese OEM customers preferred
• Strong communication, coordination, and execution skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and drive actions in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on mindset with strong ownership and follow-up capability
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural organization
• Business-level English and Japanese communication skills required
