Information on the processing of personal data submitted in support of a job application via our application platform MyHRSuite.
These notices on data processing explain how ZF Airbag Germany GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “ZF LIFETEC”, “we”, or “”us”) processes your personal data when you use our application platform to apply for a job within the different companies belonging to ZF LIFETEC.
At ZF LIFETEC, we take our responsibility to protect your personal data seriously. As used in these data processing notices, “personal data” means any information – either alone or in combination with other information we can access – that relates to you as an identified or identifiable individual. We respect your right to privacy and will only process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

The data that you submit to us within the context of the application process (along with your basic personal data, this could be any data from your résumé, or from documents submitted to us such as references, or your application letter, and could also include special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR) will be processed by us in the administration of the application procedure. The legal basis for the processing of personal data for this purpose is the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6.1 (b) GDPR) and the national laws enacted by the national legislature on the basis of the flexibility clause in Art. 88 GDPR. In Germany, this is the first sentence of Section 26(1) Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act).
ZF LIFETEC is a globally operating company located in Germany. You can find companies belonging to ZF LIFETEC here (“PLEASE, INTRODUCE ZF Website link with all ZF Legal Entities”). The data that you submit via the application platform in support of your application is saved in a central location and transferred to the relevant department within ZF LIFETEC for the purpose of processing your application. ZF LIFETEC is a global group, therefore, by transferring your data within ZF LIFETEC, it will also be transferred outside the European Union. We do this in strict compliance with the provisions of Art. 44 et seqq. GDPR. Data is only transferred outside the European Union if the European Commission is satisfied that the data protection standards in the country in question are sufficient, or if binding corporate data protection rules are in place, or if EU standard contractual clauses exist and take effect.
Our application platform is operated by SAP SE [www.sap.com] on our behalf. To this end, we have entered into an agreement with SAP for application processing. SAP is subject to regular monitoring by us in this regard and only processes your data under our instructions.
Your data is stored for six months from the conclusion of your application and is subsequently deleted. Your ZF LIFETEC account in this portal will be deleted after two years of inactivity. This is not the case if national provisions oppose deletion, or if you have given your express permission for your data to be stored for a longer period. If your application results in employment with ZF LIFETEC, your application documents will be stored in your personnel file.
We use cookies, a standard Internet technology that allows us to store and retrieve login and other usage information for every user of the ZF LIFETEC Websites. “Cookies” are small text files that are stored by your web browser on your computer's hard drive. Furthermore, principally, you may withdraw consent previously given to process your personal data at any time, with effect for the future. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent given before subsequently being withdrawn.
Furthermore, you have a right to data portability.

You are not obliged to provide your personal data. However, as part of the application process, you must provide the necessary information to enable us to complete the application procedure. Without this data we cannot consider your application.
